1.Drumming

InRhythm’s world-class drumming events...

Within minutes InRhythm has your group completely connected through rhythm. People look around in complete surprise to see everyone taking part... everyone is drumming, even the most conservative of the group.

By experiencing the drumming the group has become a community, feeling supported, safe, trusting and ready to listen and be heard.

The team is working together, having immense fun and feeling great.

Optional Open Discussion: We encourage the team to express how they felt, what they experienced and to draw analogies between the drumming and what it takes to be a successful team. This is team building and people motivation at its best.

2.Boom Whackers

Boom Whackers are an amazing instrument that anyone can play. Every person gets a colored tube made of plastic (see picture above) that makes a musical note when hit with the hand.

There are 5 different notes each making a different sound and they can be combined to make beautiful harmonious music. With the group divided into sub groups we guide them to make rhythms and melodies that compliment each other.

Boom whackers are very simple to use, a lot of fun and very effective in bringing any group together. When groups of people play boom whackers together a harmonious rhythm and melody is created.

3.Body Percussion

Body percussion is the creation of percussive sounds using body movements and body parts. As an art form, it is very old. Probably the first expressions of music and dance were created on the body. A body percussion sound may be a hand slap, foot stomp or finger click for example.

We immediately connect the group into the present moment by synchronizing everyone’s breathing. Then we guide the group through a series of simple, through to more challenging body percussion patterns. Then we have sub teams grooving and in sync with each other to show the power of working together as a team.

The sound of a group of people doing body percussion together is very powerful and laugh out loud fun!
